This is an Asahido cold wine bottle by the Kyoto artist Hokuto, a glass server with an ice pocket that keeps sake or white wine chilled at the table.
The listing describes the maker behind it: Akira Shimizu, working under the name Hokuto, is a Kyoto ceramic artist specialising in Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki, recognised as a Traditional Craftsman in two thousand and seven and known for iroe, coloured painting that runs classical elegance into contemporary design. The bottle comes in hand-painted designs named in the options: Maple and Sakura, Flowing Water with Maple and Sakura, and Iris, Hydrangea and Wisteria.
The listing says it is for cold drinks only and prefers hand washing to protect the painted design. Each piece is handmade, so slight differences show.
Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
