Asahido Silver Flower Tenmoku 銀耀天目 Mug by Hashimoto
"Ginyo Tenmoku" (銀耀天目 / ぎんようてんもく) – Glossy Silver Flower Glaze
The Ginyo Tenmoku mug is a luminous celebration of the Yuteki Tenmoku (油滴天目) technique, fired to a high gloss that enhances the depth and brilliance of the silver “dew flower” effect.
This glaze is among the most technically demanding in ceramic art. During firing, microcrystals form on the surface as molten glaze cools—a process that requires exact timing and mastery of oxidation levels. The signature silver patterns—evoking falling petals or stardust—only appear under rare, ideal kiln conditions.
Hand-thrown and finished by Daisuke Hashimoto (橋本大輔), each mug is a singular achievement, where traditional kiln alchemy meets modern aesthetic balance. It is both a vessel and an artwork—elevating everyday tea or coffee into a moment of refined appreciation.
