This is an Asahido Snowflake mug, hand crafted by the Kyoto workshop Touan, in a choice of blue, red, white or navy.
The listing names the maker of the work, Touan, and the four colourways, but carries no description of the snowflake decoration beyond the name. Asahido has made ceramics in Kyoto for over a hundred and fifty years, in the Kyo and Kiyomizu ware tradition, and is known for delicate hand-painting.
At eight and a half centimetres across and eleven and a half centimetres tall it is a tall mug for coffee or tea, and it comes boxed. The listing says it is microwave safe and recommends hand washing for long use.
