This is a Benriner mandoline, the flat Japanese vegetable slicer that turns out even cuts straight off the blade.
It comes with three interchangeable stainless blades, fine, medium and coarse, so the same body does paper-thin cucumber, julienned carrots and sliced potatoes, and a plastic finger guard rides with it. This is the lighter LITE version, which means the base has no rubber feet.
Benriner makes it in Japan from ABS plastic and stainless steel. It is a light tool with a comfortable handle, and the one habit it asks for is a hand wash, which the source recommends for a long life.
