This is a ceramic sake cup by the Japanese ceramic artist Yoshiko Naragino, made for a pour of sake and equally at home as a piece you keep out.
The listing names the pattern Sarasa Hokkamon and describes the series as a meeting of stars, flowers and quiet moments of imagination. Naragino works from the natural world, and the maker says each cup is individually formed and hand-painted with vibrant overglaze enamels, with hand-applied gold set like scattered stars. No two are the same, because every brushstroke follows the artist's eye rather than a printed guide.
Care is straight from the listing: hand wash only, and not safe for the microwave.
Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
