Asahido has made ceramics in Kyoto for over a hundred and fifty years, in the Kyo and Kiyomizu ware tradition, and is known for delicate hand-painting. The listing offers the mug in five lettered styles, A to E, each with its own painted arrangement, and notes that hand-made pieces vary slightly.
