This is an Edo Kiriko whisky glass by Junichi Nabetani, cut with the o-giku, chrysanthemum in abundance, pattern in blue.
O-giku packs the chrysanthemum motif across the whole body of the glass rather than confining it to a band, so the flower repeats edge to edge with almost no clear ground left between the cuts. Crystal from Kagami or from Fukagawa Glass is what Nabetani cuts most of its work on, this glass included.
Nabetani Glass Crafts is a family workshop in Tokyo's Ota ward, cut on crystal that comes from Kagami and from Fukagawa Glass. It's a solid glass, built for whisky over ice.
Wash it by hand in warm water with a soft sponge, never a scourer, and give it two rinses so no soap film dulls the cut. Keep it out of the dishwasher and away from sudden changes in temperature.
