Hand-painted Indigo Grid Deep Plate
Available In Store Only
This plate is crafted in the tradition of Seto ware (瀬戸焼), one of Japan’s oldest and most respected pottery styles. With a history spanning over a thousand years, Seto ware is renowned for its refined glaze work and everyday usability. As one of the only early kilns in Japan to master glazed ceramics, Seto has long been synonymous with both beauty and function.
Featuring a classic checkered pattern rendered in soft indigo tones, this piece reflects the refined simplicity of kozome — a traditional Japanese dyeing-inspired glaze.
The plate’s gently rounded form and subtle depth make it ideal for serving main dishes, noodles, or saucy recipes. Its balanced design combines functionality with understated elegance, making it suitable for both daily use and thoughtful presentation.
