This is an edamame-inspired side plate: a ceramic plate shaped with soft curves like the bean pod it takes its name from, sized for appetizers, shared sides and small desserts.
The rim line is applied with the traditional ichirin slip-trailing technique, the listing says, giving a fine raised line that adds character without changing the simple form.
The maker says it is dishwasher and microwave safe.
