This is a set of two matching Fukui Craft deep plates in porcelain, the flared depth made for dishes with sauce or broth: braised vegetables, simmered fish, a hearty curry.
The decoration is traditional Japanese motif work in overglaze enamel, and the listing names indigo, amber, green and coral in the mix. Both plates carry the same design, and they arrive in a paper gift box, which is the honest reason this pair works as a wedding or housewarming gift.
Because the colour sits in overglaze enamel, the listing keeps it out of the microwave and recommends hand washing. That is the whole care routine.
