This is an Ichiyama Yohen Irabo plate, a ceramic dinner plate whose earthy Irabo glaze is left to react in the kiln, made for mains, sashimi and shared plates.
Yohen is the kiln's contribution: unpredictable patterns and textures from the firing that make each plate one of a kind. Irabo is the glaze tradition underneath it, earthy in tone and rustic in finish.
The maker says it is dishwasher and microwave safe.
