This is a pair of Hirota Karai cracked glass cups, one clear and one golden, each three hundred and fifty millilitres.

Karai means the crackle effect the listing names in the series, and the pair comes in a Hirota wooden box. Hirota Glass has worked in Tokyo for well over a century, blending European glass techniques with Japanese traditions such as blown glass and Edo Kiriko cutting. This series was designed by Shigeichiro Takeuchi, a Tokyo-based designer.

The listing says the cups are for cold drinks only, not microwave or dishwasher, and to wash with neutral detergent without abrasive sponges.

Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
