This is a Hirota Fubuki glass serving bowl: frosted glass with white specks scattered like snowflakes, sized for salads and cold dishes at the middle of the table.
Fubuki means snowfall, and the listing describes delicate white specks in the frosted body with graceful curves that read cool on a summer table. Hirota is a Tokyo glasshouse with more than a century behind it, known for blending European techniques with Japanese glass traditions including Edo Kiriko cut glass.
The listing keeps this one out of the microwave; the dishwasher is fine. Small air bubbles and slight variations come with handmade glass.
