This is a Banko-ware clay pot with a reed pattern and internal compartments, a do nabe built for dividing the pot.
The compartments are the idea: different ingredients cook in their own lanes while sharing one broth, which suits a hot pot where some things need a minute and others need five. The listing places the do nabe tradition in Japan's Iga province, from porous clay that builds heat slowly and holds it; it names Banko as the maker and keeps the general tradition as background.
It runs on gas or direct fire and can go in the oven, but not induction. A clay pot asks for specific habits: never store leftovers in it, let it cool fully before washing, clean it with warm water and a soft sponge with a rinse before any soap sits, and never leave it soaking, since the clay drinks water and damp clay grows mould and odours. It is not a dishwasher pot.
