About Okame and Hyottoko
Okame (おかめ) and Hyottoko ( ひょっとこ) are traditional Japanese mask characters that are often seen in festivals, performances, and folk art.
Okame (おかめ), also known as Otafuku (お多福), is a female character with a joyful, round face, symbolizing happiness, good fortune, and fertility.
Hyottoko (ひょっとこ) is a male character with a comical, puckered face, often depicted blowing through a bamboo tube, symbolizing humor and playfulness.
They are often portrayed together as a lively and humorous couple.
