This is the donburi size of the Mino-ware Fine Line Flowers series, a ceramic bowl in the Midori Karakusa design.
The series carries the karakusa motif, flowing swirls with delicate floral details, a traditional design the listing ties to longevity and harmony. Made in the Mino region, and Mino is the pottery district of eastern Gifu whose name marks where a piece was made rather than how it looks.
The series runs across plates, bowls and a tea cup, so pieces can be added a few at a time. The maker says this bowl is dishwasher and microwave safe.
