This is a Mino-ware sake set in porcelain decorated with the Tako Karakusa, octopus vine, pattern.

Tako Karakusa is a traditional Japanese motif of spiralling vines, said to stand for resilience and longevity. The listing notes the deep blue swirls are placed sparingly rather than covering the whole surface, so they read softly against the natural glaze.

The set is a two hundred and eighty ml pitcher with cups, made in the Mino region of Gifu. It comes in box packaging.

The listing says the dishwasher and the microwave are both fine.

Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
