This is a Mino-ware plum blossom rain bowl, a large bowl with a gently flared rim and delicate plum blossom motifs.
The listing describes blossoms rendered in soft hues, tied to endurance and renewal, and the traditional sori silhouette, a reversed-edge curve that keeps the flared rim graceful. A matching deep plate is listed from the same design. Mino is the pottery district of eastern Gifu.
At its diameter it takes donburi rice bowls, tempura, noodles and one-bowl meals. The maker says it is dishwasher and microwave safe.
