This is a Tenmoku white drip noodle bowl: a deep bowl in a deep, lustrous Tenmoku glaze with a white drip flowing across it, sized for ramen, udon and soba.
The contrast is the design, dark ground and pale drip, and the listing says each bowl is unique because the drip runs where it wants. Mino is the pottery district of eastern Gifu, and the name marks where a piece was made rather than how it looks.
The maker says it is dishwasher and microwave safe.
