This is the Nousaku egg incense burner in silver, an egg-shaped holder for burning incense at home.
Nousaku is a casting maker in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, working in the Takaoka copperware tradition the listing traces back over four hundred years, with each stage of the work, from prototype to casting to finishing, carried out by specialists. The metal here is one hundred percent tin.
It comes as one egg-shape incense holder in a Nousaku paper gift box. To burn: light the tip, let it catch, then blow the flame out so the ember smoulders, keeping it on a stable surface away from drafts, never left burning unattended.
Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
