This is a pair of Shun cherry blossom sake cups, the colour-changing kind that shows full-bloom sakura when a cold drink goes in.
The listing explains the trick plainly: the change happens when the drink is below seventeen degrees, so the blossoms appear with a chilled pour of sake or anything else cold from the fridge. Two cups come in a Shun paper gift box, positioned by the maker as much for gifting as for home use.
The listing says the cups are not safe for the microwave or the dishwasher. Hand wash is safest.
