This is a small wooden dessert spoon, thirteen and a half centimetres long, made for cake, pudding or seasonal fruit.
The listing says it is natural wood finished with the traditional suri-urushi technique, where translucent lacquer is rubbed into the grain by hand layer after layer, leaving a subtle sheen that shows the wood's texture while protecting it for daily use. Made in Japan.
Hand wash only, as the maker says.
