This is a Sori Yanagi Nambu tekki cast iron grill pan, a ridged iron grill from one of Japan's most celebrated product designers.
The pan is cast Nanbu Tekki iron, traditional craft ironware prized for heat that wraps gently around food. The grill's mountain-shaped grooves brown the surface of what sits on them and channel excess oil and moisture away from the meat. Nambu iron keeps food warm from stove to table, and iron cookware releases trace amounts of iron into food as it cooks.
It works on open fire, oven and induction. The source says hand wash only.
