Often on the same table

This is the IH version of the Ginpo chrysanthemum clay pot, a do nabe that will actually run on an induction stove.

That makes it the exception in the clay-pot world: most donabe will not touch induction, this one does, alongside gas, direct fire and the oven. The chrysanthemum pattern dresses the pot for table service, and it comes in a size eight and a size nine. The listing tells the do nabe story with the Iga origin: clay pots made from a porous clay that builds heat slowly, like a slow cooker, then holds it once it is hot, the secret behind rice, shabu-shabu and sukiyaki done properly.

A clay pot asks for specific habits: never store leftovers in it, let it cool fully before washing, clean it with warm water and a soft sponge with a rinse before any soap sits, and never leave it soaking, since the clay drinks water and damp clay grows mould and odours. It is not a dishwasher pot.

Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
