This is a Hirota Karai cracked glass cup, a three-hundred-and-fifty-millilitre tumbler in a clear or amber crackle glass.
Hirota Glass has worked in Tokyo for well over a century, blending European glass techniques with Japanese traditions such as blown glass and Edo Kiriko cutting. The listing's care notes are unusually specific: this is non-tempered glass, not heat-resistant, for cold drinks only, kept away from open flames and sudden temperature changes because that is what cracks it.
Wash gently by hand with a soft sponge and mild detergent, and store where it cannot knock against other glass. Not microwave or dishwasher safe.
