This is a pair of Mino-ware porcelain chopstick rests modelled as two cranes at rest, sized to sit at each place setting.
The listing names the crane as a symbol of longevity and good fortune in Japanese culture, and describes gold touched onto each crown by the traditional kinsai gold-detailing technique over a warm white glaze. Made in the Mino region of Gifu.
The maker recommends hand washing.
