This is an Edo Kiriko whisky glass by Kosho Nemoto, cut with the Shizuku, droplet, pattern in amber purple.
Shizuku means droplet, and the cut is meant to catch the moment a drop of water meets a surface: soft curves rather than the workshop's usual sharp geometric repeats. Every surface is polished by hand, the same habit this family has kept for three generations.
Nemoto Glass is a small family workshop built around one rule: never rush the polishing, a habit carried down through three generations of the same family. Pour whisky over ice; the curved cuts shift the light gradually rather than in sharp flashes.
Wash it by hand in warm water with a soft sponge, never a scourer, and give it two rinses so no soap film dulls the cut. Keep it out of the dishwasher and away from sudden changes in temperature.
