This is Nippon Kodo's Butterfly (Floral Oriental) incense, the summer scent in the Yume-no-Yume series.
Yume-no-Yume, the Dream of Dreams, is a series built around Japan's four seasons, each scent catching a passing moment of nature and each box printed with dreamlike artwork to match.
The scent is a full-bodied floral oriental, the fascination of a midsummer night, keyed on geranium, cinnamon and vanilla.
It is a short stick, around eight centimetres, burning for roughly twenty minutes, and the box holds twelve with a small metal holder. There is nothing to wash here; let the ash cool in the holder before emptying it and give the room some air.
Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
