This is the Chushin Kobo bamboo boat incense holder, a cast iron piece cast by Hisanori Masuda to hold one stick of incense on its plate.
The listing names Hisanori Masuda as the caster and designer, and gives the piece as cast iron, ten point five centimetres long, six wide and three point five tall, made in Japan. Holder and plate come together in a Chushin Kobo paper gift box.
Light the tip of the stick, blow the flame out so the ember smoulders, and set the holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, never left burning unattended.
