This is a box of Nippon Kodo Kayuragi incense sticks in the Osmanthus scent.

The name Kayuragi joins ka, meaning fragrance, and yuragi, the gentle sway of smoke, and the series is built around that quiet, drifting feel. Nippon Kodo suggests it for winding down, reading, meditating or a long bath.

Nippon Kodo is the incense house behind it, founded in Kyoto over four hundred years ago and now based in Tokyo.

The box holds forty sticks, each fourteen centimetres long, with a small ceramic stand to burn them on, and each stick runs for around twenty-five minutes. There is nothing to wash here; let the ash cool in the holder before emptying it and give the room some air.

Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
