This is a Tokusa matte glazed deep plate: a stoneware plate with a subtle spiral at the centre and fine vertical tokusa lines, matte under a titanium-inspired glaze, sized for pasta, curry, risotto and saucy things.
The listing positions it between traditional and contemporary: a matte finish with a warm, organic feel, hand-formed with slightly irregular edges that make each piece subtly unique.
The maker says it is dishwasher and microwave safe.
