This is a Yamada sake cup cut with the Koko, radiance, pattern in purple.
Koko means radiant light, and the cut alternates chrysanthemum petals with an octagonal basket-weave lattice, angled so it throws light back from more directions than a single repeating pattern would.
Yamada Glass is one of the Tokyo houses we buy from on every trip, known for putting its own new names on the classic cuts. It's sized for sake, and it also comes in other colours if you want to build a mixed set.
Wash it by hand in warm water with a soft sponge, never a scourer, and give it two rinses so no soap film dulls the cut. Keep it out of the dishwasher and away from sudden changes in temperature.
