This is a Yamada whisky glass cut with the Entsunagi, ties-that-bind, pattern in green.

A fine chrysanthemum-link cut covers the whole surface, and circles are cut through it at intervals, so the repeating lines and the circles read as one continuous, connected pattern rather than two separate cuts. Entsunagi is a Yamada design, not one of the old traditional pattern names.

Yamada Glass is one of the Tokyo houses we buy from on every trip, known for putting its own new names on the classic cuts. Pour whisky over ice; the circular cuts throw light differently from the straight lines around them.

Wash it by hand in warm water with a soft sponge, never a scourer, and give it two rinses so no soap film dulls the cut. Keep it out of the dishwasher and away from sudden changes in temperature.

Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
