This is a Yoshikawa cooking oil filter pot, a pot that strains used frying oil through an activated charcoal filter.

Poured through the charcoal, leftover deep-frying oil comes out free of the fine particles that burn and spoil the next batch, so strained oil can go straight back into the pan. The source points to its test video for how it performs.

The listing gives no care line, so hand wash is safest.

Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
