This is a Kousaido incense holder in brass and glass, a small ball-shaped holder that sits on a square glass plate.
The listing gives the holder as brass, one point two centimetres square, and the plate as glass, nine centimetres across and one centimetre thick, both made in Japan and both in the one pack.
Light the tip of the stick, blow the flame out so the ember smoulders, and keep the plate on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, never left burning unattended.
