Kakumei Sujihiki Hardwood Saya, Standard Profile
$59.00
Imported directly from Japan.

This is an Ikenaga Nambu cast iron kettle in the Haru design, holding twelve hundred millilitres and made to boil water on the stove for tea.
The listing tells the Nambu story: ironware made one by one by traditional methods in Iwate Prefecture, a representative Japanese craft, with an easy-to-clean enamelled interior, and a surface that gains lustre if you wipe it while still hot. This kettle works on gas, induction and charcoal, and the handle does not fold down. Body and handle both run hot, so potholders are the habit.
The maker says hand wash only, with no detergent, sponges or scrubbing brushes, and notes that handmade pieces may show some scratches or unevenness. It ships in an Ikenaga paper gift box.
Most of our products are handmade in Japan, and sometimes the one that you receive maybe slightly different to the photo. This is very common and in no way it will affect the performance of the product.
