This is a plastic knife guard for a wide yanagiba or sujihiki, sized for an edge up to 30cm tip to heel.
The guard is made of durable plastic with a soft liner inside to protect the edge. The listing notes the same guard comes in a range of sizes covering petty, santoku and nakiri, gyuto and yanagiba blades. It is a low-cost way to protect an edge in a drawer or a bag. Keep the guard clean and dry so no moisture sits against the blade.
