This is a Banko-yaki oval plate in white, a large textured ceramic plate with a wavy rim, made for salads, pasta, stir-fries and plated mains.
The listing describes the handcrafted Banko-yaki tradition behind it and leans on the form: a textured surface, an organic rim, and slightly raised edges that keep sauces on the plate. Banko ware itself comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, a pottery tradition built on a clay that takes hard use.
The maker says it is dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
