This is a Cakeland adjustable cake slicer and mousse ring, a guide that slices a round sponge cake into level layers.
The listing says it fits cakes from fifteen to eighteen centimetres and slides a knife through the side notch for a level cut, giving up to six even layers. It gives the ring as stainless steel, made in Japan, about two hundred and seven by one hundred and ninety-two by seventy millimetres.
The maker says to wash it thoroughly before first use, then clean and dry it completely after each use; avoid metal scrubbers or scouring powder, keep it out of the dishwasher, and keep it away from direct flame or high heat.
