This is a Cakeland height-adjustable rolling pin, with a dial on the side that sets the thickness of the dough before you start rolling.
The listing describes turning the dial to the wanted thickness, then rolling; it moves smoothly and turns with a light touch, useful for cookies or puff pastry. It gives the roller as ABS resin and aluminium, made in Japan, about forty-eight centimetres long and six point eight wide.
