The name ``Hechimon'' comes from the Shigaraki craftsman word used to mean something that feels strange.
Just like the various shapes created by nature and the individuality of each of us,
vessels have a variety of expressions...
It may feel more like an agricultural product than an industrial product.
These vessels are filled with playfulness and sincerity and are made by experts who understand the importance of heterogeneity. Hechimon is a registered trademark of Marui Seito Co., Ltd.

"Shigaraki ware" is a type of pottery made in Shigaraki-cho, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. It is counted as one of the six oldest kilns in Japan and is said to have a long history of 1260 years.
In 1976, it was designated as a traditional craft by the country.
